As a community bank, we believe in giving back to the community through hands-on volunteering. That’s why we established our b1COMMUNITY Outreach Program to give all employees paid time off during the workday to help area nonprofits.
The goal of b1COMMUNITY is to encourage our employees to spend more time serving causes they value in our respective communities. Throughout the year, b1BANKers get opportunities to do so while simultaneously improving those communities for our stakeholders.

Market Champion: Carla Cayette – Bayou Branch Coordinator
“Volunteering gives me a sense of purpose. I love to volunteer because I feel as though I can enhance the lives of others in my community.”
Carla’s favorite nonprofit to volunteer for: Terrebonne United Churches Food Bank
Carla’s favorite memory from a b1COMMUNITY event: "While volunteering at the local foodbank, I spent half the morning boxing various food items for distribution that afternoon. I didn’t think we’d be able to package all the boxes before day's end. After distribution that afternoon, I walked into the warehouse and most of the boxes were gone. It was such a gratifying feeling to know we helped so many families in our community."
