For Rex Glendenning, a young broker who had been building his career in investment real estate and had just founded REX Real Estate with his wife Sherese, the challenge was clear: retreat or reinvent the path forward. The defining moment came when the Resolution Trust Corporation recognized Rex's firm for its work liquidating assets at a time when few were willing to step in. That shift transformed a young agent into what North Texas would come to call the "King of Dirt." Today, Rex and his award-winning team have sold billions of dollars and thousands of acres of development land across Texas, with deep roots in the Golden Corridor along Preston Road and the Dallas North Tollway. A 2023 inductee into the Commercial Real Estate Hall of Fame, Rex continues to evolve his business, capturing the next phase of Texas growth with the same instinct that carried him through the crisis.
