Kevin came to the US with a dream. Today he and his son Kenny are building a legacy that spans generations.
In 1975, following the fall of Saigon, 16-year-old Kevin Nguyen arrived in America with a dream. While working his way through LSU and a career in law enforcement, Kevin lived a life of quiet discipline, saving every dollar and sacrificing the security of the present in order to build a legacy for the future. In 1990—with less than $5,000 and a son on the way— Kevin bought a single fourplex. It was the first brick in what would become Nguyen America.
The defining moment for the firm wasn't just the acquisition of land, but the generational transition of that vision. Today, Kevin and Kenny work side-by-side building on that first fourplex to develop over 30 neighborhoods and thriving commercial centers across Louisiana. Their ambition is rooted in a deep faith that reaches from their homeland — where they support projects serving the hungry and climate-impacted — to Baton Rouge, where Kevin personally led the ground-up development and helped secure financing for the Tam Bao Meditation Center's new community hub.
