In 1987, while working in the luxury auto foam accessories aftermarket as the American economy was cooling, Kent Byron saw something others didn't. He noticed that local hot sauce companies were being forced to source their essential plastic bottles and caps from out of state. A gap hiding in plain sight — and for Kent, an invitation.
Kent's ambition wasn't just to start a business. It was to build a solution. It took several years of relentless focus to make it a reality. By 1989, Acadiana Plastics was born. Today, that first dollar earned is framed on the wall, as a reminder of how it all began.
What started as a local necessity has grown into a national plastics manufacturing company with cutting-edge patented technology and products distributed worldwide. From closures and bottles to unit dose vials for the medical market, Acadiana Plastics has evolved into a company with precisely designed tooling and molds that annually produces hundreds of millions of plastic caps, bottles, and vials.
