Kevin P. Fitzsimmons, MBA
Financial Institutions Relationship Manager
Kevin joined Smith Shellnut Wilson in January 2024. Based in New Jersey, his primary role is serving as a relationship manager for the firm’s Financial Institutions practice. Kevin has 25 years of experience as a sell-side equity analyst, covering several regional/community bank stocks. During this time, Kevin was a Managing Director at investment banking firms, including Sandler O’Neill + Partners, LP, Hovde Group, and most recently D.A. Davidson. In this capacity, Kevin regularly interacted with banks’ senior executive teams as well as institutional investors focused on the bank space.
Prior to equity research, Kevin was a commercial bank examiner at the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston. He also served four years as a commissioned officer in the U.S. Navy – achieving the rank of Lieutenant and qualifying as a Surface Warfare Officer onboard a U.S. Navy warship – with extensive deployments to the Mediterranean Sea, Middle East (Operation Desert Storm), and Caribbean (drug interdiction operations).
Kevin earned both a BBA and an MBA degree from the University of Notre Dame.
